I ran with the gridded structure. It looks pretty mad ha. Its not very legible or readable but visually i like the way it looks.
Question has to be asked though - is it appropriate? I guess thats what has to be asked about everything.
Though the black map would look awesome as screen printed/foiled silver on black paper.
