So in the last meeting we discussed the various process points of the year book and got some images off Interdisciplinery to insert. These are the notes:

Few notes from the meeting we had yesterday (09/03/11)

Please find attached to the email, the 3 sample layouts you favoured towards during our discussion. From the sample information that Jaclyne has forwarded to us, we will begin to produce layouts according to the requirements and preferences made.

These include-

Grey/mint green colour combinations

overlapping image over spreads

Text always above image

Effective use of spread for image, but allowing space for type for readability.


For the next meeting in 2 weeks on Approx Tuesday 22nd March 4.15pm

We will have -

5 Working variations of layout from discussed preferences using student information

Specific variations of colour palettes

quotation page layouts


You will have -

Test shots of installations for cover development

Further detail into additional spreads (work in public etc)

Close to completion for relevant content, student blurbs, profiles and images in hierarchy. (Your personal deadline of 25th March for content?)


If theres anything I've missed, any questions or concerns you might have, don't hesitate to get in touch.

So we changed the layout using the new images, and decided to tone down the header type as it took away from the image a little too much. Next is just to apply the new images to a range of layouts and see how many work, how many don't, so we can move it to the rest of the year book.
